Ovulation or trigger shot positive?

Question

I started fertility a couple months ago with just times intercourse with clomid and progesterone.
This month we did clomid plus a trigger shot during ovulation peak (on Tuesday).
My ovulation has been 7 days and I took an ovulation test to just double check I'm done and popped up fully postive again. Which would be say 8... 
Could this be my meds? Or can you ovulate longer than 7 days?

You only ovulate once per cycle, one day, once egg gets released it’s viable for 12-24 hours then if it does not get fertilized by sperm it disintegrates. You don’t ovulate for 7 days. When you get a trigger shot you can not use OPKs, the hCG injection will causes an opk to be positive. Also Opks do not determine ovulation, they just detect the LH surge.
