Any CLEVER tips to wean LO from breastfeeding?

Baby is 2 years old, doesn’t want to give it up. Need other ideas that have WORKED for you. 
Besides the normal wean gradually one less feed everyday, change scenery, get LO a new toy, change normal routine.

I’m weaning my girl now and she was upset for 15 min (started weaning only for her nap and during day)... I went back in to soothe every 5 min but only had to go in twice. I avoid sitting on the ground right now because they say to not nurse them out of the routine. My girl now after 3 days only nursing mornings and bedtime. 
Before she would want me to nurse her throughout the day. Now she didn’t even try or want it anymore, eating better. Gave her a new milk cup. I offered that the first couple days too (I also give oat milk which is way sweeter and she likes it, doesn’t like reg milk) 
She also has become way more clingy with her stuffed animals. For bedtime tonight, she held up her stuffed animal to my breast to “nurse” it while she was nursing, so adorable and I started crying! I asked her which animal she wants to bring to bed. So emotional weaning them. I remember clearly the first day I weaned my first born too.

My ped doc suggested vinegar on my nipples because my baby did not want to wean. Worked well. Took about 4 days before she threw in the towel and accepted moms nipples no longer tasted like milk. Was a last resort because nothing else worked...and we tried everything.

Put bandaids on your nipples and keep telling them you have ouchies and you can’t do it.
