Disclaimer : I know nothing about child development 😅

My daughter has been rote “counting” to ten for a few months, probably because she was OBSESSED with a counting book for like 3 weeks and made me read it at bedtime every night. But i didn’t realize she was also learning the written numbers when i was pointing at them.

Tonight I gave her an unfamiliar toy that had some random numbers written on it, and she started pointing to them and naming them 🤯. She got 2, 4, and 8 correct all in a row, so i don’t think it was a fluke. And just, like, holy cow THEY ARE SUCH SPONGES AND MY MIND IS BLOWN. 😱
