I know pads are super annoying. But until the wound inside your uterus from the placenta heals, you shouldn't use tampons. Because they have a higher risk for infection. Same reason you shouldn't have sex earlier than 6 weeks

Nothing should be going in the vagina before 6 weeks postpartum, unless approved by your provider

You have to have atleast one normal cycle before tampons! Which would bring u to your 6 week appointment anyways so wait n talk to doctor

I didn't start using tampons or my cup until almost 1 year PP, things just felt off in there and I wasn't comfortable with it.

Never. They hurt like hell after giving birth. I switched to a cup. But also nothing should be in your vagina before 6 weeks unless your OB/midwife said it’s ok.
