Random spotting

Okay ladies I have a question. For the past month it seems like I’ve been spotting. My periods are irregular anyway. I had been taking a combination birth control pill and stopped taking almost a year ago. The spotting isn’t bad and eventually stops for a few days then starts back again. Also when I have sex it seems to start in the middle of it. I stopped spotting in friday and woke up Sunday morning with a uti. Today o started spotting again. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so, what was the cause? Until I’m able to get someone to cover me at work I can’t go to the dr.
