UTI 34 weeks FTM
I was prescribed medication for a UTI that was found at 31 weeks. Unfortunately that round of antibiotics did not work which lead to me getting extremely sick to the point of vomiting blood.
I’ve never had a UTI and had no symptoms let alone an idea of how sick they can make you. Growing up my mom always told me the women in our family get super sick with kidney infections in their 3rd trimester and that my great great grandmother died because of it.
With that said I was obviously prescribed a stronger medication that I need to take for the remainder of my pregnancy and there after and for a week I was starting to feel better.
However today was a complete 180. I feel nauseous, my hips, lower back, and pelvic area hurt. I know they are constantly stretching but this is like a period discomfort if you’ve ever had a bad period you know what I mean. When I lay on my sides with a pillow between my legs it does not help. The pain goes up my back even but I can’t pin point it. When I stand it’s so much worse. The abdominal pain goes into my legs regardless of my position too. I have a completely normal temp but before my new prescription like I said I had gotten super sick, chills, extreme muscle fatigue, so on so forth.
My question is is this normal or is this infection spreading.
