Freebirth with high blood pressure???

Kristen

I am currently 24 weeks with my 4th (and last) baby. I had my 1st prenatal appointment at 5 weeks (thought I was further along) and I already had high blood pressure. Pretty sure I had high blood pressure before pregnancy (my 3rd delivery ended with my BP being too high resulting in IV meds). This time, I am taking a baby aspirin daily along with a quality magnesium supplement.

I have always wanted a freebirth/unassisted home birth, but I am afraid my BP makes that option too risky. Has anyone been in a similar situation and things turned out OK? Does anyone know of anything I can do/take at home to keep my BP down during labor/delivery? I am literally only 5-10 mins from the closest hospital if need be.
