Bleeding at 34+5

Woke up this morning to vaginal bleeding(see pic). I was told to go into L&D, and they told me that I was 1cm. Because I was having some cramping they think that the cramps are causing me to dilate and thin out which in turn is causing the bleeding. They sent me home and told me to come back if I have more bright red bleeding. Has this happened to anyone else around this point in pregnancy? I’m a nervous wreck. I’m still having the cramping, but the bleeding has stopped for now luckily.
