Potty training 😵‍💫

Question

Do I get a little potty? One of those toilet seats with the mini seat built in? Pull-ups? Fabric training pants? 
I’m not ready, but my girl is showing more and more signs that she is ready. Help! 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

I did one of these. I preferred a toddler sized potty over a potty seat because I had my son naked and placed the potty in whichever room he was in at the time. 
My son didn't do well in training underwear. I think because he wore cloth diapers and the fabric didn't feel different enough for him. But he did great going naked, then when he was going to the potty better, we started using training underwear.

I had that in our bathroom ever since my son was one. He was nowhere ready. I just put it there so he gets familiarized with it and anytime he followed me to the bathroom he would sit there even if he was just fully dressed. But he wasn't ready until he turned three. And all I did was put him in underwear all day. He peed on himself like 3 times each time I took him to the bathroom and changed him and told him here is where we go pee pee and from then on he was good. Same with poo he pooped his pants and freaked out and then I did same and he was very good. But I again I waited until he was ready. No pressure. Usually when the kid is ready is less messy than when you are trying to make them go. Also if your kid is ready you should do it because then I hear is harder when you think you are ready.

This book was a lifesaver. I preferred using a separate toddler potty (we used the Summer infant my size potty) and I kept it in the playroom while I was potty training. I left my son naked for about a week and he literally only had 1 accident before figuring out the potty after I lifted him and put him on it when he started peeing. The book recommends only putting the potty out when you’re ready to start potty training because it’s very important to establish the fact that it’s not a toy. Once my son was fully potty trained while naked I put his pants on without underwear or training pants. The book strongly discourages training pants/pull ups because they’re basically the same as diapers so it defeats to idea of training. Eventually I moved his potty closer to the bathroom, and once I actually put it in the bathroom he decided to use the real toilet on his own.
