I’m bored in my long distance relationship

How and when is it appropriate to tell your partner that he’s not speaking my love language and that he needs to get himself together (finance/ work) wise before he proposes to me, without coming across as offensive?

Another option is to have a clean break for one year and see if there’s any improvement and come back if we still feel the same way about each other.

Last option is for me to completely leave him if I bring it up and don’t see change within 3 months? I don’t want to be that girl who is in love with their partners potential, that they may never even live up to in the future.

For a man that requires so much submission, he’s not leading in certain aspects as I would expect a man too, then he gets upset when I don’t listen cos of my “strong willingness”. That’s just how I’m built. He always gets “stressed” over any little thing we talk about and it frustrates me. I thought he would have more resilience as a man ……….
