I’d like to hear experiences of vbac and c sections
I had an emergency C-section after an induction that caused my LO’s HR to not be stable. The epidural failed after some layers during the csection and it was beyond traumatic for me. I’m currently 28 weeks with my second and my Dr has encouraged a repeat csection to make the experience calm and as planned as possible. My husband is wanting a repeat csection (it was extremely traumatic for him as well and I definitely take his opinion into account - he thought I was dead for an hour or so after my first baby).
I’ve done some research and I know vbacs are safer overall but the idea of knowing EXACTLY what’s going to happen sounds appealing to me. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? It’s late in the game for me and I currently have my csection scheduled but I want to be sure I’m making the right decision. Is a vbac worth it? Why would I want to have a vaginal birth if I’ve already had a csection? And I believe this will be my last baby so I’m not concerned about too many csections.
