Advice for long road trip with baby?

It will be our first long road trip with baby. She will be 12 months old. We will be traveling 16 hours over two days. I’m nervous that she won’t be able to tolerate being in a car seat that long. Any advice or tips or stories to share? Thank you!

We just did a 13.5 hour trip with my 13
month old this past week. We broke it up over 2 days which helped but it was still not fun 🙃 she also refused to sleep so that was it’s own challenge. My advice: one parent should sit in the back if space allows, stop often to let babe run around and have lots of snacks more than you think you need. Good luck!

Hard... 
I don't know good toys for car... we had only books and a doll. When I was with her on the back seat I talked to her and we were singing a lot (I was exhausted, listening from mp3 was fun but not for long).
We did a lot of breaks- including one with a playground for an hour or so
The only way for us is to travel at night.

What worked well for us was leaving super early in the morning so she'd continue sleeping a good stretch. Then after that we'd stop every 2-3 hours as needed for diaper changes, snacks, nursing, etc.
