Herpes outbreak

I’m having my first hsv-2 breakout now. It started on the 7th but I didn’t realize what it was until two days ago. I went to the doctor yesterday and she confirmed i have herpes.

I also Had sex with my boyfriend all this weekend and now he is having an outbreak too, his started on Monday. I feel so guilty, he thinks I cheated on him but i didn’t, he says he not mad with me but he looks so miserable. It’s so painful and itchy for the both of us, I started taking acyclovir but it’s not working fast enough.

I been calling off work because I feel really depressed and uncomfortable. I literally feel like my life is falling apart.
