Apartment-maintenance losing keys-HELP.

I am trying to figure out what to do. They have “lost” a key however the “lost” key was replaced with an entirely different one, the teeth are completely different. I gave them my spare to make a copy for maintenance and supply for pest control to do their job. I now have given them the spare for the next time they come because this is the fourth time, after giving them my spare to copy, that they have not come. I have to move my furniture 2ft from the baseboards every time and I also am a single mom with two young toddlers, it is BEYOND frustrating. Now beyond that I am concerned for our safety with “missing” but replaced (with the wrong) keys. I need to email management but seems I only have addresses so I’ll have to send a letter. Any tips? I’m also looking into changing my locks but thankfully for the time being have extra security measures. Has anyone had this happen? This is our first apartment and also in affordable housing. I am worried about retaliation as well since my lease is about to be up for renewal. I also had a whole 8 month financial issue that is suddenly resolved after several hours on the phone with them. Just seems so odd to me. But does this happen often? Should I be worried or over reacting?
