Bleeding on and off after giving birth?

I am 9 weeks pp.

I stopped bleeding around week 4.

I started bleeding again around week5 and assumed it was my period.

It lasted about a week.

I received birth control in the form of the mini pill at my 6wk check up.

I didn’t bleed during week 7.

But started bleeding again during the middle of week 8 and I’m still bleeding….

What is the issue? I don’t understand why I keep bleeding on and off. Period like blood.

I’m still breastfeeding and have been exclusively breastfeeding since I gave birth. So I’m kind of surprised that I’m bleeding at all.

Any ideas ? My husband has been waiting to be intimate and at this rate it seems he will be waiting forever lol.
