Anyone else’s child mixing up pronouns? How do you model/teach them?
Like he’ll say “You give me the ball” while handing me the ball, clearly meaning “I’LL give YOU the ball”. I find it confusing to model as if I repeat back what he should be saying it’s the wrong way around for me as the speaker if this makes sense?
He also still refers to himself by name occasionally, for example, saying “Jack and daddy will eat fruit” instead of “Daddy and I will eat fruit”. For this one I usually say something like, “Yes, you and daddy will eat fruit. You say ‘daddy and I will eat fruit’”.
Is anyone else’s child doing this? What do you do to help?
