How do they tell if baby is head down?

It’s something I’ve been wondering! I felt like the answer was ultrasound but I’m not sure. I wouldn’t mind one last ultrasound if that were the case. I had gotten my last ultrasound at 29w5d and I’m now 31w4d and during my appointment at 29w 5d nothing was stated about baby being head down or not

My midwife feels around my belly for baby and can feel with her hands if he’s head down or not. No ultrasound required.

Because it doesn’t matter until after like 35 weeks. Baby still has loads of time, and room.

I didn’t know until my ultrasound at 34 weeks, but I could feel it because I had awful pain and pressure down there.

Doctor feels my stomach and then uses the doppler for heartbeat.

My doctor just puts his hand at the base of my stomach just above my pelvis and says “It feels like baby’s head is right here.” It hurts, but he’s always right.
