Update: Ultrasound Results

Quick Rerun: I was told by two ER doctors that I’ve had a miscarriage. Took more blood tests and HcG levels were continuing to increase and my OB expected it to decrease by now.

I had my ultrasound today (abdominal and vaginal). The screen was turned away and the technician couldn’t say much. But I just received an email of my results. The impression is that there is a “pregnancy of unknown location, concerning for occult ectopic given abnormal beta HcG levels. Although beta-HcG levels are low, no intrauterine pregnancy has been identified. Small complicated free fluid in the cul-de-sac without adnexal mass.”

I have a follow up appointment on Friday for further explanation. At this point, my take on this is that I am no longer pregnant. I am still bleeding very lightly which makes sense. I have already had closure with this loss, but am still seeking confirmation because there are still now clear and final answers from OB.
