Moving with so

Brought up the moving topic with my 1.5 yr bf. He wants to stay in where we are now but I would like to be in the mainland back with my family . I'm about to start school where we live now so I know that will prolong the move but I think it's important we talk abut it now. He shuts down and says absolutely nothing. What do I do? It bothers me because he doesn't ever want to leave his home but I know this isn't where I'm meant to be forever. Do I bring it up again or just wait another year or two. Idk?!
