Are Milksnob covers okay to use in the summer heat?

Has anyone used the Milksnob covers as a car seat canopy to block out the sun in the summer? Wasn't sure if it's too heavy to use as that and if it keeps to much heat in the car seat? Thank you in advance!

Its not advisable to cover the car seat in the heat. Even a light muslin blanket raises the temp inside the car seat by as much as 20 degrees. Much better to use the sunshade on the carseat itself to cover babies face and either put on light pants or drape the muslin blanket over baby's legs for sun protection

I definitely wouldn’t use one of those for sun protection as they can trap heat and be very dangerous for your LO. I only use mine for brief moments when taking my daughter to the dr or other places that are cool indoors to give her some protection from covid and other germs. For sun protection I would use something like this stroller shade, or they have clip on umbrellas that you can use.
