Convinced my toddler hates me

Back story: I have a 16 month old daughter. My husband is a firefighter and is gone 48 hours a week so I am alone with her 2 nights. I literally do everything for her- feed her, bathe her, play with her.

Whenever we are out in public she won’t let me hold her, only my husband. Just recently she won’t let me put her to bed if he’s home, she cries and throws a screaming tantrum until he comes in the room.

I can’t help but be super hurt by it. I was always a mamas girl so I don’t understand it. Why is this happening? I’m honestly embarrassed at times because what kid doesn’t want their mom? 😞
