When did you put your lo in their own room to sleep at night?

My son is 9 months tomorrow and he is still sleeping in our room. In his crib of course but still, in our room. He has a room set up, just missing the crib because it’s in our room. I have had multiple people tell me it’s time to put him in his own room. Idk why I’m having such a hard time! Ugh. I think it’s just the comfort to be able to look over at him when he’s asleep and know he’s still breathing. My mom said I’m over reacting 🙄 lol thoughts?

Do whatever you want! We waited til 2.5/3 months old.   The first night I felt guilty, like we were leaving her out😅 But in the end, we all slept beautifully!

We moved my first into his own room at 4/5 months. It was hard at first but we all slept sooooo much better after that, including him! I think he hated the bassinet we were using in our room

No, you aren’t over reacting, it’s completely normal to feel this way and it took me about a week to feel better about my daughter being in her own room. Lol. Also, the ability to sleep better was worth it! The reason I moved her is she started fussing more in her crib knowing I would jump up to see what was going on, in the end was the best decision I made. She was 7 months at the time.

My husband and I fully anticipate on having baby with us in our room for a minimum of a year, likely 2.

Every time I've had to make a change (moving to own room, no sleep sack, no pacifier, no bottle, daycare, etc), I've had a hard time 😂 Totally normal to feel this way! Take it at YOUR pace and I promise each change seems harder than it really is. 💕

I put my first in his own room at 3 months. I wasn't able to put my second in his own room until 6 months when we got a 4 bedroom. I feel for my kids personally, they needed the quiet space of their own to get a good night's rest. Neither of them fully slept throughout the night until they moved to their own rooms. Every kid qnd parent are different though. You shouldn't let other people's comments botger you too much cause it's not their life/kid. They're not the one sleeping in the room with them 🤷‍♀️ what works for one doesn't always work for another.

8 weeks, and my son did great and was a gold medal sleeper from the start. For us, it was important that our bedroom was “ours” once I went back to work at 3 months, and it worked well for our son too. But I think all babies, and all parents, are different. Do what works best for you.

We moved our first at 7mo and our second at 6mo when they both outgrew the pack n play we used in our room. It was good for us because everyone slept better since we weren’t disturbing one another.

Yea completely different for everyone! Reading some of these comments make me feel super guilty but my little one slept in her own room from about two/three weeks! It was what worked best for us. With having a cesarean I found it much easier to look at the baby monitor screen (I could see her chest rising and falling) rather than try and get up off the couch (our big bed was too  hard to try and get in and out of at the early stage) just to peak in the bassinet beside me. She’s also quite the noisy sleeper so she was always waking me up. So do whatever is best for you guys!! All the best :)
