Anyway to make dates taste better?

I'm 37 weeks and 3 days and I just started eating some dried dates last night....idk if it's just me but they are so gross..anyway to make them taste better??

Blend them into a smoothie of your choice (beware that you don’t use too much other sweetener (if you do) cause they will sweeten it). I’ve also heard great things about finely chopping them and topping peanut butter toast with them, but I have yet to try it 🥴 need to soon! I struggle so much ... the texture, the overly sweetness ... 🤢

I soaked some in water and it helped....I have my obgyn app on monday so I'll see if I have progressed at all....this passed Monday I was 1cm dilated but Dr said my cervix was still long

I covered them in peanut butter with my last baby 😂 decided not to bother with them this time

It's my own fault but I'm a picky eater 😩 I think im just going to have to suck it up and get them down somehow lol I love prunes so I don't know why I'm having a hard time with these...I'm soaking a few in water right now...maybe that will help 🙏

I eat them with cheese (like Gouda) to help cut through the sweetness.
