What will you do???

Question

My Husband and I have full time jobs. Just today he called me from work to ask me if I will support him if he decide to quit his job. But I told him that for now not to do it to find another job first and then he can quit.. am I a bad person for not letting him quit Now.. 
Why he want to quit? He is lifting heavy boxes and his shoulders is starting to hurt.
He want to spend more time with me.. his hours are 2pm to 10:30pm most of the time they obligate him to stay up to 12:30am.

No you’re not a bad person for telling him not to quit yet. Its wise to find a different job first before quitting, especially if one income isn’t gonna cut it. Although I have to say, he needs to take it easy for a bit if he’s starting to get body aches because if he ignores that, it might actually lead to him not being able to work for a while.

I would see about him finding a less physical job first or you finding something that pays well, even if he went down to part time for a while but I wouldn't let my husband up and quit unless I was making enough

I think it depends your situation. He’s your husband, and you guys should support each other. If he can tough it out for a little and find another job first then that would definitely be ideal.but..
Personally, I once worked at a place that was such a toxic environment that everyone kept quitting. Eventually I couldn’t take it anymore, I would come home crying everyday. My husband told me to quit (regardless of not having found anything else yet) . He supported me because it was what was best for my mental health.
You know your husband best so do you think he is using the physical pain as an excuse or will he actually put the effort to find another job? If you think you can handle it (financially) and he will work hard to find a replacement then I don’t see a problem in supporting him until he finds something that isn’t as taxing on his health.

Yeah my husband would never ask to support him since he knows I got us no matter what but he also knows how I feel if he were to decide to quit a job, he needs to have one lined up first to fall back on that is equal to or greater than with pay the job he quits from.

I guess it depends on your individual living situation. My husband has disabilities and had a full time job when we got married but has since not been able to keep up. We are able to get by on just my income but its fine with him working 1 day a week. It'd be great if he was working full or even half time....but ita not necessarily for us. If you need his income in order to get by then you need to explain that part of it to him and he needs to have another job, even if it's part time, before he quits. And still pursue full time work thats less physically demanding.

That’s interesting. My boyfriend would never ask. E to support him like that. He would go and find a less physical job if anything. And he works all day too. It sucks of course but we have to do what we have to do to survive these days.
