I woke up this morning and filled up an entire pp pad in under 5 min and passed some foul smelling tissue (10 days pp). Called my OB and she met me at the l&d ER. There they discovered retained tissue and decided to do a pelvic exam. Keep in mind I tore up and down pretty badly and had stitches. During her exam she realized the tissue and wanted to remove it. With my consent she proceeded to basically do a light d&c at the bedside. No meds. It surprisingly didn't hurt that bad but the scrapping sound was unpleasant. She removed everything and the plan was to keep me in observation. I told my husband I felt blood come out and about that time it started pouring off the bed into the floor. He ran to get the nurse and they started working to stop the hemorrhage. I thought I was going to die for a minute today.

My uterus had been very irritable during third tri. I had my baby via natural child birth with the help of hypnotherapy. I had retained placenta and a small hemorrhage right after that as well.

I'm tired. I'm weak. And I'm ready for my body to heal. I just needed a place to write this down and release it into the world. If you decide to comment, please be kind. I can't handle much else right now.
