Going from full time work to SAHM?

Question

Ladies have any of you gone from working full time to being a SAHM? 
I have a good job, great benefits, requires me to travel and be gone from my family often, but I’m 6 years from being able to qualify for retirement (govt work). Lately I’ve been feeling like my work is.no longer fulfilling. I have 2 kids (10 & 12) from a previous relationship and we want 2 more. My husband is 100% supportive of whatever I do, which is great. Just wondering how many of you have made the switch and not regretted it?

Look, it's hard. I had a call center job that was stressing me out so bad I couldn't stand it. A few weeks later I found out I was pregnant and my husband's job pays the bills so we decided I could stay home, good thing because I don't take pregnancy well and get sick often. I had 0 energy. I've been a stay at home wife/mom just over 3 years now, and pregnant with our 2nd. Plenty of days I am losing my mind over here. My husband is in the army so every few weeks he goes to the field, sometimes it's a few days, sometimes it's 2 weeks at a time. In November when I'm in my 7th month he's pretty much going to be gone for an entire month. We live 1200 miles from family though and we haven't had visitors in 9 months so I have no one else I can lean on if I need time away from kids. But all that being said, putting my daughter in day care to go to work isn't worth it because I'd make one maybe two hundred dollars by the end of a month, before I even factor in gas money or lunches. So I might as well suck it up and teach her to be a good human myself, at least then I get a lot more smiles, hugs, and hearing "I love you mama" always makes me remember she's little and she's never going to remember the struggles I had in her early years just trying to keep her safe and happy. However, I was never going to retire from a call center. So if you're only 6 years away from retirement, it might be worth keeping your job for those benefits!! Definitely weight both sides and make sure your pay would cover childcare comfortably if you decided to keep working, or if possible a family member that may not ask for money that you trust should that option be available to you.

Personally I'd just work the 6 years. Your children are older and when you get pregnant I'm sure your job will provide you with maternity leave. I think in the long run it would be better for you. But you do whatever you want it's your life.
