So my husband and I have been seeking sperm donor due to an injury of his that required a medication which made him infertile. We have looked high and low for the perfect donor. We found one. However his country has closed their borders so we can no longer access him.

Our problem lies here: We are seeking a very specific ethnicity in which the number of donors are slim. Do we chance it to wait it out and potentially miss our chance to have another baby? Or do we ask an acquaintance of mine who is of this ethnicity if they know someone who might be willing to help?

My biggest concern with the latter is it making a very awkward situation with this acquaintance as they provide services to me(think permanent makeup and piercings)
