This is random

I head of this situation. So a stay at home wife (husband works on the road) she pretty much stays home with her animals and tends to the house. She was house sitting for a friend and when she got home realized one of the dogs ate almost a whole (but still not too big) container of dark chocolate almonds from the counter and the dog is only 12 or so lbs give or take. The wife tells the husband that she thinks it was just one dog (out of 5) that ate them. She said she can tell the dogs stomach is upset and the dog is acting fine besides trying to gag sometimes and just being normal otherwise. He starts to blame her saying "why would you leave straight up poison out for our dogs" and she is already stressed bc well she feels guilty. To sum it up she says that the way she felt when he blamed her made her not even want to be with him plus the guilt was intense. Do you think that situation would end a whole marriage? I mean people make mistakes but it is crappy that she left it on the counter. The dog is fine for now but it only happened yesterday so it's up in the air rn. What do y'all think of this situation?
