School age children and delivery plan

Ok moms, I have got a kiddo going into 3rd grade next month and am trying to think of plans for care for him while we are at the hospital in September. Right now our due date falls on a Monday and if we give birth during the week our son will be in school most likely. My parents unfortunately do not have time off from work available so aren’t really an option. We could ask my MIL but she lives an hour away and I’m not entirely sure she would use her time off to help us.

Just curious what others are planning to do? Would your kiddo still go to school or take that time off while you’re in the hospital? Our hospital also doesn’t allow visitors below the age of 16 currently.
