When are you telling?

Hey mamas! 5w2d here, first baby, beyond excited! 
Just wondering, when are you telling your friends & family? My first prenatal appointment isn’t until week 9 on August 26 😩 I am a little worried to tell anyone until it’s confirmed by a doctor (haven’t had bloodwork) but two of our future grandparents have birthdays in week 8, so want to share the news but sooo anxious that something could pop up at the prenatal visits after. 
How are you all experiencing this? I can’t tell if I’m being neurotic (which is VERY possible, I’ve taken 12 tests in a week 🤦🏻‍♀️😬). Thank you for all you’ve been sharing on these boards!

We’re waiting until 12 weeks to tell family and friends. We both did tell our bosses because I am high risk just in case something we’re to happen. We’ve had 7 losses over the last 6 years and I personally can’t stand people feeling sorry for us and then act as if they know what we are going through and they have never been through it themselves. I would say announce when you feel comfortable announcing you know best mama!

We’ve already told close family who we know would respect our privacy and give us support whatever may happen. I didn’t announce on social media until after I was 12 weeks last time though and will do the same this time as well.

We told our families because we know we would need their support if anything went wrong, we plan on telling friends and social media around 8/9 weeks once we can confirm with ultrasound 🥰

We have told close family and a few friends. I’m not really hiding anything from people when I talk to them in person, but we are choosing not to announce on social media. Everyone goes about it so differently. Do what feels best for you!

I'm 7 weeks today, I've told my nana, my mum, my sister and 3 friends. My partner has told his family, a couple of friends and his entire workplace 😂 I'm going to wait to tell everyone else I'm hoping til 12 weeks but this is the third so will just see how I go. I could've been like my sister and told no one until baby is born then send pictures 😂 she literally only told our parents a few days before she gave birth 😂

I think our due dates must be close! (3/26, and I'm a Laura too!) We were planning to wait until our US week 8 in Early August, but my mom is perceptive and will probably figure it out first🤷‍♀️

I’ve always told my close family and friends the moment I’m pregnant. After miscarriages I prefer having the support from my family and not suffering in silence. But that’s just me! 
I shared on social media at 16 weeks.

With my first I told close family at 6 weeks as things weren’t going well all turned out great in the end. This time still not heard off doctors so booked a private scan at 10 weeks and will tell them at 11 weeks
