Red flag

Been dating a guy for 8 months and met their parents. Well his dad is out of town for business purposes but met his mom.

Some really awkward stuff happened and idk what to even think. We were going to have dinner at his house. His mom cooked some really great stuff.

So my bf he has gastritis and processed meats really hurt his stomach. Last night he told me he had a chorizo torta. It’s pretty much a “hamburger with pork meat” the chorizo is really strong and spicy.

Well when I got there I texted my bf I was there. He was in the restroom. His mom opened the door. I felt really awkward meeting her for the first time and my bf not being there to welcome me. I was expecting for him to meet me inside and present his mother. His mom told me “sorry my son is in the bathroom but it’s great meeting you” I told her it was fine and I sat down. She was a sweet heart.

My bf was in the bathroom for 20-25 min. I texted him “are you okay?” Never replied. I assumed he didn’t have his phone inside. He finally came out and you could tell his mom was a bit embarrassed. My bf tells me “sorry my stomach hurt” then his mom tells me that last night he had issues because of the food he ate. She was telling me how she’s trying to tell her son to avoid those meats. I just nodded and said “yes I also have sensitivity to those meats”

I guess my bf got annoyed and he told his mom “can you shut up? This is so annoying! Just shut up and don’t give your opinion I don’t want to hear it” I have never told my mom to shut up😰 so I told him “hey be nice babe she’s just trying to care for you.” Then he tells me “just shut up you guys are annoying no one asked for your opinion” he got up and went to his room for another 5-8 min. We finally ate and it was just awkward
