Kindergarten?

Are you sending child to Kindergarten this school year? 
Is kindergarten important? What kind of schools have you looked into what kind of questions have you asked the school what are recommendations of things that make a good school
If you decided to homeschool this year what are your lesson plans, resources?

For the kids I know kindergarten is very important but more for the social and maturity aspect. Every parent should be able to teach what is taught in kindergarten but the learning how to interact and be in school. So socially I feel like it is super important but educationally a parent should be equipped to teach that. A lot of people are home schooled and do fine but the big thing is socializing so kids can learn to interact, understand sharing, dealing with conflict, etc...all the things you learn bring with other kids of similar age.

we homeschooled for kindergarten, 1st grade, and now 2nd grade. looking back kindergarten was fairly easy, it involved LOTS of crafting lol. it was my first year trying it out before the pandemic so i had very little guidance and i’d just go on pinterest every night and print out worksheets according to the subject i wanted him to go over that day, plus one craft project just for fun. the most difficult part was finding things outside our house to keep him social since kindergarten is the time to learn about relationships, confidence building, speech, etc. we ended up putting him in soccer and he LOVED it.
