Baby and eye contact when being held
My 6month old baby makes good eye contact while lying on the floor, in her pram, sitting in her high chair and when being held by someone else. She tracks me across the room and will attempt to turn/roll over to watch what I’m doing/where I’m going. However, she makes very little eye contact when being held by me. She’ll occasionally make eye contact while breastfeeding but is mostly starring straight ahead or has her eyes closed. If I’m holding and carrying her she looks around at everything but not really at my face. Same as if I’m sitting down and holding her. She tracks toys, etc ok. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this normal?
