Epidural?

Question

Any (second time) moms getting the epidural again? 
What was your experience? 
I’m having a big baby in about 3 weeks and I’m trying to make all my final birth plans.

Went wonderfully each time.
I would never go natural 😂😂

Loved my epidural with my first! Didn’t have it in for very long (less than 2 hours) but I still can’t imagine pushing without it. 100% will get one again with my second!

I’m definitely planning on getting one for my second baby. I’m 37 weeks 
But with my first I had the best experience with my epidural. It went super good and didn’t feel anything when I was pushing

My first epidural was amazing. I felt nothing which did make it harder to push tho. I didn’t know how important that was so if that ends up happening. Ask the staff to help you know when to push. 
My second epidural was good too in that it lessened the pain and I was able to push unassisted. I’ll only mention that I did have a reaction that brought down my blood pressure so they had to cold iv fluids. I was freezing but was fine otherwise

I got the epidural with my first and it didn't work, so it was a nightmare being stuck in bed in all that pain unable to move. So I chose to go unmedicated with baby #2 and it went amazingly.

Fantastic both times! Absolutely no pain during delivery. 
I will say the second time my anesthesiologist was a bit of a perfectionist and re did it twice before she was happy with placement but I only felt the first needle insertion. All of this was before any medication had kicked in.

1st time the epidural didn't work on my left side. Dr didn't believe me so it was a nightmare. It did work if a was laying on my left side but couldn't do that much.
2nd time everything went perfectly. The epidural done its job thanks to the anesthesiologist listening to me about my messed up spine.
I plan on getting it for this one as well. For some reason my body doesn't want to dilate until I'm relaxed with the epidural. I've only ever gotten to a 1-2 before getting it
