Does it bother you if your SO Doesn't wear their wedding/commitment ring?

So my husband recently has damaged the band on his wedding ring to the point of that he can't wear it until it gets fixed. He seems to be more upset about it than I am. So my question is does it matter to you ?

My husband works in construction, sometimes 7 days a week, so he only wears his if we go out to eat at night or special occasions.

It doesn't really bother me bit if my husband forgets, I will say something like "going out as a single man today huh?" or "what are people going to think seeing you with a married woman?" 100% joking!

Mine wears his 24/7, but it wouldn't bother me if he didn't. I ALWAYS forget to put mine back on after I lotion my hands or something. I suck haha. Plus the diamond is a hand-me-down from his parents. It's worth a lot and I'm always paranoid that I'll lose it. I rarely have my rings on

He doesn't wear it at work which I completely understand, but if he just quit wearing it altogether I'd be upset. I know that a ring isn't what keeps us together, but I would feel like maybe he didn't want to wear it anymore for a reason. Right now my fingers are too swollen to wear my ring anymore and I hate it.

It would bother me if he had no good reason. Work, hobby, damage... All good reasons. Because I don't want to or don't feel like it,.. Not good reasons.

My husband and i both work in a kitchen and honestly if we wore them to work, we wiuld have to take them off anytime we did something, and they would probably ened up gettingg lost anyways. The only time it would really bother me is if he went out drinking with friends and wasnt wearing it or went away somewhere for a while.

My husband couldn't wear his for a while cause he had poison ivy on his finger and it made it worse. I just made it clear that if anyone made a move on him he should let me know so I could come beat them up haha he's mine 😉 if he chose to not wear it just for be heck of not wearing it I might be kind of upset just because it means a lot to me that people know he's taken. It's be different if he was on a job field that made it dangerous to wear a ring due to getting caught on something. But if he CAN wear it, I want him to.

A ring isn't going to stop him from cheating. My husband broke his hand and now is band doesn't fit I'm in no rush to get a new one because I trust him. And what is a commitment ring? I never heard of a guy wearing one.

It bothers me if he doesn't have it on because some women don't respect the relationship if they can't see it so it's more like he can say he has a wife and kids and some women continue to press their way into a conversation and other see the ring and hear it and back off

I'm not engaged/married yet but I struggle a lot with what I will do when I am. I'm not a ring person, I barely ever wear them, and the industry I'm in I'm not allowed to wear it at work and taking it on and off all the time scares me. On top of that engagement rings are just the product of an extremely successful ad campaign by De Beers so I'm not sure I even want to support that construct. I've been thinking about what other options I have, like other jewellery or maybe a tattoo. Thankfully don't have to really decide for a while!
