About two weeks ago my bf and I broke up. Prior to this his girl best friend got dumped a few days before. A day or so after we break up he asks her in the future would she date him and some personal things about my family life. She said idk to dating. While texting her this he says a few mean things about me to a girl who starts dming him and they starts sexting each other (I’m not upset about the sexting). Yesterday he texted my best friend and asked her if he should ask me to take him back. He’s never treated me badly in the relationship and only treated me badly during the breakup. My parents saw the sexts on an old phone I had given to him that he returned. So now they despise him but I still love him completely. I’m automatically going to make him give me a few months to heal but he’ll have to correct himself as well. I don’t know if I could trust his loyalty in the slightest or his real intentions with me but he’s the only boy I’ve even really loved. Should I give him a second chance or leave him completely? If I do the latter should I stay friends?
