Hey I would really love some advice. My boyfriend and I were together for 6 years and last night I got dumped. Few days ago a group of gang members showed up to his home wanting to kill his mom and his sister and he was about to get shot too. His sister is dating a guy that is part of a gang as well and due to there being problems between both groups they showed up at their home. It’s been hard the family has been trying to decide where to move such as Oklahoma and Los Angeles and it’s been stressing for him because he is going to stay behind and needs to find somewhere to live and make money so it has been very difficult. We didn’t see each other since and instead he went out to see his friends two nights ago to distract himself which made me upset because I couldn’t see him and he hasn’t asked to see me especially after knowing that he could have been killed. We were doing good before all of this happened so I’m very confused. Last night he dumped me saying that he needs to focus on making money in order to find where to live because he doesn’t know what to do. Also that he doesn’t want to drag me into this because he will end up hurting me and he won’t have time to see me because he needs to make the money fast so he can find where to live. I’m just hurt because I thought we would have been able to work it through together. I understand he is no longer the same due to what happened with him and his family but I don’t find it fair how he could just breakup with me. I never imagined that this would lead into a breakup. Could he be just making excuses? I’m sorry I’m just very confused and not clear on what is happening right now. He could have asked for a break or I could have just been there by his side supporting him in this difficult time.
