Daycare/ preschool teacher?

Anyone a daycare/preschool teacher? I’m thinking I want to do this and enroll my daughter into the same daycare/preschool it’s a private preschool and they provide all the training. I’ve been working from home for a year and I thought I would like it but I don’t. I’ve gained 50 pounds and my child is home and it’s chaos all day.

I worked at a daycare for like 6 months. I could not deal lol you need extreeeeeme patience. If you cant deal with one child’s chaos at home, trust me you wont want to deal with a group of little monsters lol!

I work in one and currently pregnant and plan to enroll my child after my three month leave. The pay is small ($14-$15 an hour depending on where you live, though I’ve seen it as low as $12), the hours are long, and it’s very exhausting depending on the age group you teach. I teach 4-5 year olds and there’s 26 students in my class. ITS. ALOT. I do love the job but it’s not for everyone. And like another user said, be prepared to be sick constantly. We also had an RSV outbreak, as well as conjunctivitis and croup. The turnover is heavy in preschools too because a lot of people can’t hack it.

I work at a daycare currently and like it. But just know you and baby might get sick REALLY easy. The one I work for had RSV outbreaks so I wore a mask - worked well until an 11 month old pulled it down and coughed in my face

I used to work in daycares. I would be highly picky on which ones I sent mine to even if I worked there. You aren't guaranteed to work in the same room. I've seen some disturbing things. 
Be prepared to get sick abd your little get sick a lot. As much cleaning as I personally did, it still was a germ feast.

I do! I have three kids and work at the daycare they’re going to. I find it easier to deal with other people’s kids all day than my own lol 😂 my patience level is just different. But jokes aside, it’s been a wonderful setup. I don’t have any of my kids with me in my classes (and I would suggest the same for you if it’s possible), so we all get a break from each other, and it makes home-time much more manageable.
