How to sleep comfortably on left side?

I panicked when I sleep on my right side. FTM here. When I sleep on my left my hips and butt get numbed. It hurts and causes me to not sleep well. I have pregnancy pillow but nothing helps at all.

Any position you’re comfortable in is fine. The only reason that sleeping on your left side towards the end of pregnancy is considered “ideal” is so that your liver doesn’t get compressed. The reason back isn’t recommended later on as well is because baby can compress the vena cava (big artery that runs along your spinal column) and reduce blood flow to your lower body. With both of these things, you would notice if your position was causing issues. 
Sleep however you are comfortable. If left side causes issues but right side is comfortable, sleep on your right side. If you can only sleep on your stomach, and it’s comfortable to sleep that way, do it. You’ll know if a sleep position is causing problems.

Your body will let you know if a position isn’t good for you. Forget general suggestions that may work for many/most. Sounds like your body is letting you know that sleeping on your left isn’t ideal for your physiology right now. Listen to your body rather than trying to achieve something that may not be best for you.

I always sleep on my right side. I’ve noticed that I can breath way better when laying on my right side. I think it is totally okay to lay on whatever side is comfortable!

Sleep however you’re comfortable. There’s nothing wrong with sleeping on your right side. It’s best to sleep on your left in general, but if it’s too uncomfortable for you to do so, that’s okay. I sleep on my right more often than my left.
You can also sleep on your back as long as you’re at least slightly propped up. The only danger is being completely flat on your back. But in general, your body won’t let you sleep in a position that’s dangerous. You’ll feel uncomfortable and move in your sleep or will wake up and move to a more comfortable position.
