Newly Pregnant and Quarantined

Donna

We were so looking forward to our first Ultrasound tomorrow Aug 3rd at 6.5 weeks. But we will have to wait longer to meet our little chocolate chip. I tested positive for Covid 19 today. Was miserable for 2 days with all the symptoms except loosing taste/smell. High of my symptoms were common pregnancy (fatigue, runny nose, headache…) The fever was what worried me the most reaching: 100 yesterday but broke last night at 2am down to 99 and back to normal today. I know if it reaches 101, it is dangerous for baby.

Was annoyed how the clinic I tested at gave me zero advice on how to combat the symptoms. Just had to lean on common sense. Thankfully I connected with my reproductive nurse and she gave some good advice. I’m keeping optimistic, taking approved meds, increasing fluids and vitamin c along with making sure to go on walks. The raging headache and thick cough is what remains. Trying not to get anxious only focusing on getting better. Just really tired.

Anyone else been here? Having to quarantine for the next 10 days which doesn’t bother me. It’s just wanting to make sure my baby is safe.
