What could be happening?

I have a gel nail set. Lamp, tons of madam glam polish. I started using these almost 6 months ago. The last 2 months I started getting real bad itching that would take a day or 2 to go away. So I recently found out last month that I wasn't supposed to use acetone to clean the polish off my skin but use rubbing alcohol. So I figured I had burned my skin. So I'm currently taking 2-3 weeks from doing my fingers so they can heal. But I did my toes nails today and use rubbing alcohol and they where find until now when I laid in bed and it's just my big toes. So could I be allergic to the polish or did my hot bath make them start itching. I'm scared to do my nails and they start itching again and I have to get rid of my $100-$200 dollar worth of stuff. Anybody else have the same with doing gel nails fingers or toes? Also it itches around the finger and toes like where my cuticle would be and the edge of my fingers but mainly where cuticle is. It also doesn't start itching until like 2-4 hours later or more.
