Is it the end?

Question

Has anyone ever gotten bored or anyone’s with their partner? Like they are holding you back? I have ZERO interest in sex and most of the time my partner just annoys the shit out of me. I don’t even want to sleep next to him anymore. He’s really a great guy & great dad but I’m just so over the married life and the monotony of it. Am i being selfish or mean? What can I do? We have some good times but I’m not sure i just feel resentment and sometimes i think i hate him but i know i don’t I’m just either mad or annoyed..please advise

A relationship is a long term commitment which means sure there are periods of blah and mundane. That’s kind of part of it. I think what makes a successful relationship is the willingness for both partners to recognize these periods of time and make an effort to change things up or to persevere.
Essentially, if you and your partner (I use the term “you” as in anyone who reads this comment) are no longer willing to TRY to keep a relationship going, then it’s more of a lack of maturity rather than something wrong with the relationship. Sure, people drift apart, but part of being married is learning to love the boring times in addition to the exciting.

That is how my last relationship ended. It was part resentment, part loss of respect & embarrassment to be with him, and part just straight grueling boredom. 
I felt horrible about it and still do a bit, he was a great boyfriend and we had good times, but also, he was a terrible match for me and I couldn't stand it.
So if you can, I commend you, 
I imagine you liked this person very much and for good reason to marry them and all. 
I think this situation calls for careful reflection on what the root of these feelings are, as well as an attempt to refocus on gratitude and what you love about your partner.
I think a lot of couples go through phases like this, and they don't have to be forever or end a relationship. They can signal serious issues in a relationship that need attention.

I would leave. You have one life to live. Might as well go find someone who makes you happy not miserable. But always remember in any long term relationship or commitment there are going to be down times. That's just the way life is.
