I don’t understand

He ended it and moved on pretty quick. So if he’s so happy in his new relationship, why is it that when he comes to pick up our child to go to his for the weekend, why is he so interested in my life and what I’m doing? I try to keep conversations strictly about our child but he’s always asking about my life everytime he comes here. I sense a little feeling that the grass is not really greener on the other side after all

Just to add… we ended badly because he was abusive towards me. when I tell him things about our child he swings it back to me, he’s more concerned about what I’m doing, now that he knows I no longer miss him he knows he has lost all control over me. He can see I’m happy and living my life, while he has gone straight into another relationship
