Quick question about praying to God?

For those of you who are religious and read the Bible to your babies, how are yall teaching them to pray to God, I read his regular bed time stories then we go thru a chapter in his baby Bible. Then I will sit/kneel and say a little prayer before bedtime which when I close my eyes he runs away or is getting into the toys I previously picked up already. What are some tips and tricks to help him know that this is a quiet time before bed to talk to our Lord???
