Should I go back to my home country or stay for masters degree but I don't like either of them but I have to choose one.
I have to make a decision by 10th of this month, I have 2 options and I don't like either of them but I have to choose one.
I'm from one of the 3rd world countries and I recently completed my bachelor degree in nuclear power engineering in one of the European countries, I was on full government scholarship from our government including living expenses. After graduation, we were offered masters scholarship from school but doesn't include living expenses. They told us late when we have already packed for home and our families know that we are coming.
So it's either I stay or go home but here comes the problem for both options.
Remaining
1) I'm tired of Nuclear engineering, I don't see myself studying nuclear again, I don't see myself solving physics, I have zero motivation. I have a dream course for my masters degree but I have to work hard looking for scholarships.
2) The city is very small with not much job Opportunities for international students, it would have been better if it was in the capital city and am tired of this city too. I really want to change the environment, 5 years is too much and adding 2 more years.
3) Nuclear has limited Job opportunities in my country (my country government sent us here to study nuclear, they wanted to start nuclear programs but it seems they have failed because it's too expensive and now we might be jobless or start looking for job ourselves in other fields) and that again Zero motivation to continue nuclear studies.
4) I have to buy my own flight home after graduation but it's too expensive over $1000, my family can't afford that.
Going home (I have never been home since I came here from 2016)
1) I can go home and weigh the options properly and come back in September but I have to pay my own flight but my biggest fear is that boarders might remain closed for coming. (We are trying to push for online classes)
2) I have a chance to apply for scholarship with living expenses after a year(living allowance allows saving some money before going home because you have both allowance and you're working, working alone is not much in this city)
2) I will look for an internship or job and I plan on doing coursera courses with certificates to work online as I'm applying for other scholarships.
3) Continue applying for scholarships in masters in international business or international relations (what I want to study).
I have spent 3 days thinking and weighing both and I don't like either of the options.
