Would you go to a party with 45 people this weekend?

My sisters bridal shower is this Sunday & there will be 45 women, some of whom I know are not vaccinated and my mom doesn’t want to ask everyone to wear a mask. We live in an area with high Covid spread. I really want to go but I’m nervous especially because I’m TTC and I heard getting Covid while pregnant is even worse. I would wear a mask the whole time but would have to take it off to eat and drink.

Vaccination does nothing to prevent the spread from what im reading. It just makes covid affect the host not as severely. I think mask should be required iternationally

I wouldn't go under those circumstances but more so because there's an influx of infection. Nope. I've had it and still have long haulers (loss of smell and taste, chronic fatigue, shortness of breath and the ever fun nerve pain and seizures) so that's a hard pass. I don't wish this on my worst enemy, let alone people I care about, I don't get why people love to play with fire like that.

If it’s outdoors I would consider going. If it’s indoors I might politely decline since I wouldn’t know all the guests. This also depends on the relationship you have with your sister.

Nope because I wouldn’t trust everyone else to wear a mask and me wearing a mask doesn’t protect me, it protects them.

I have my husbands cousins engagement party with no masks this weekend and we live in a moderate covid area. Most are vaccinated here but I don’t wanna take the chances with my young kiddos
