40+3 Induction birth story!
Today I was scheduled for an induction we arrived to the hospital at 6:20am after all paper work they checked me I was 31/2cm 85% effaced they started me on the lowest dose of pitocin around 7:40am my doctor came in at 8:40 andI was at 41/2 cm & he broke my water, our OB office is literally across the street which is nice so he said he would be back around noon if not needed sooner.
Around 9:40 I decided to get an epidural I was hesitant about getting one because it didn’t work the last time I had it, but I decided to get it (I’m soooo glad I did). Around 10:20 the nurse training checked me Amd said I was around 6cm.. the nurse training her checked me after and instantly called my dr and said I was at a 91/2 and ready to push everyone rushed in and I started pushing she came down so fast that she got stuck behind my pelvis and was in distress the nurse instantly started pushing down on my abdomin over and over my dr ended up having to pull her out and she wasn’t breathing they took her away and finally got her breathing but she ended up breaking her right clavicle. After everything we both are doing wonderful! She came into this world speedy fast at 40+3 weeks 10:45am 7lbs 10oz and 20 inches
