Taxes 🙃

Super fun topic! Kind of a big question, but I’m not sure if anyone else has the same experience I’m going through.

My husband enlisted in TX, we just moved to CA.

I work remotely for a company I worked for back in TX. I understand that his pay is not subject to CA tax. But is mine? We aren’t registering our car in CA, we haven’t officially changed our address to CA. And the company I work for is a Texas only company. I just don’t want to end up with a big tax bill at the beginning of next year. Anyone know what to do in this situation? Should I assume I pay taxes for CA, or can I keep my state of residence as TX even though I technically live in CA?
