Making the first appointment?

Question

How did your phone call go when you called the hospital to make the first appointment? I can't think of the words to say! I don't have my doctor's direct line so I'll just have to call the general clinic number. I don't want to sound like an idiot and then the person on the other end of the line thinks "Wow, and this woman is having a baby..."  Lol. Thanks all.

My first appointment I called my family Dr and scheduled to get the pregnancy confirmed by them. When the lady asked what I was calling for I just said "well, I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came back positive!" And she directed me from there. After that appointment I called the OB office a receptionist directed me to the prenatal line and I left a message with my information. They got back to me within a few hours and scheduled my first 5 prenatal appointments!

With mine I just asked for a prenatal appointment and then they ask when my last period was and schedule it according to when the Dr likes to see people for their first appointment!

I have an app that I can request appointments with my OB/GYN. I just requested an appointment. I had just been about 3 months or so prior and they knew my menstrual cycle and that I should have a period coming up. I took ovulation tests and conceived when I had a positive. So before I even was expecting my period, like 5 days before, I took a pregnancy test just for the hell of it and it was positive!!!!!! So that was when I requested an appointment and I put pregnancy in the comments and the receptionist called to confirm and said "I'm a little confused. You haven't even missed your period yet.." So I felt stupid. But I had to explain the ovulation stuff. People will always make you feel stupid. Lol.

I had to leave a message for my REI to schedule an early viability scan. Then to get an appt with and OB I have to go in for a pregnancy test.
