So, I posted about a week and a half ago about my foster daughter and her mom. Her mom was supposed to go to treatment, but didn’t show up. And then started threatening me with fake evidence she “has” against me and my home. And said she could come take her daughter any time she wants to since they closed their assessment. Well, I called our caseworker and she said there was nothing they can do unless the child is in danger and technically she’s not since she was with me. I called and made a report to DHS about the threats. I should get a decision about their continued involvement on Monday. But I was told that if she showed up, I had to let her take the child or I could be charged with kidnapping. So, I let her take her. Even though she had an abusive and violent man with her. And we’re pretty sure she was coming down from being high. My heart is broken that I’m the only one trying to fight for this kid and no one is helping her. This was all on Friday. I’m just really hoping that the baby girl is ok and is being taken care of somehow. There’s more back story in my other post. But if you come here making comments blaming me, you’ll be muted. I’m tired of that shit. I did everything I could for this child, and the system is failing her.
